A Jacobite Gazetteer - Lazio

The region of Lazio in central Italy includes the Province of Rome and the Province of Viterbo.

Province of Rome

Among the sites of Jacobite interest in the Province of Rome, are the city of Rome itself, the Vatican, Subiaco, and the Castelli Romani.

The Castelli Romani are a group of towns to the south-east of the city of Rome. They were much favoured by the Stuart kings, James III and VIII, Charles III, and Henry IX and I.
